The world richest man and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and his wife MacKenzie Bezos are about to get divorced after 25 years of marriage.
The couple released a joint statement on Jeff Bezos Twitter account on Wednesday 9th of January 2018 saying: ‘’after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends. We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other and deeply grateful for every one of the years we have been married to each other. If we had known we would separate in after 25 years, we would do it all again. We’ve had such a great time together as a married couple and we also see wonderful futures ahead, as parents in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures. Though the label might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished as friends.’’
Jeff Bezos who is 53 years old and his wife MacKenzie 48 years old have four children; three sons and a daughter. In 2013, MacKenzie in an interview with Vogue magazine revealed how she and Jeff Bezos met; she said she met Jeff when he interviewed her for a job at a hedge fund in New York in the 90’s. They got engaged after three months of dating and married in 1993.
