Former secretary general of the united nations  and Nobel peace laureate Kofi Annan is dead. The 80 year old elder statesman died in his sleep  after a short illness.  Leaders from all over the world have  expressed  their  sadness and condolences  as  late Annan was a great diplomat and a strong advocate for world peace.
