FORBES RELEASE LIST OF THE RICHEST PEOPLE IN AFRICA 2019

On Wednesday 9th of January 2019, Forbes released the list of the 20 richest billionaires in Africa in 2019 and their net worth. Four Nigerians made the list, they are: Mr. Aliko Dangote, Mr. Mike Adenuga, Mr. Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija.

For eight years in a row Mr. Aliko Dangote still retains his position as the richest man in Africa, with an estimated net worth of $10.3 billion. Mr. Mike Adenuga was listed as the second richest man in Africa, with an estimated net worth of $9.2 billion dollar, his value appreciated immensely in 2019 after he was valued at $5.3 billion in January 2018. Mr. Abdulsamad Rabiu returns to the list for the first time since 2015, he is estimated to be worth $1.6 billion. Mrs Folorunsho Alakija was ranked 19th richest person in Africa, with an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion, this place Mrs. Alakija as the second richest woman in Africa, while Angola’s Isabel Dos Santos is the richest woman in Africa.
